Canon Wild Amateur Roadshow
Here’s another Canon Roadshow event aspiring Canon shooters may be keen on attending: the Canon Wild Amateur Roadshow will be held in major centres and is set to feature well-known travel and wildlife photographers who will share some of their secrets.
The roadshow takes place at the end of October in Johannesburg and early November in Durban and Cape Town.

Seating is limited – register here.
I am chairman of a Camera Club in Cape Town and Icannot understand why I do not get any response when trying to book for the Cape Town Road show? If Canon cannot handle this type of event, I shall have no alternative that to maybe start supporting Nikon. Please just show some interest in a VERY KEEN photographer.
I’ve had similar issues with Canon’s local marketing representatives, though the invites and subsequent feedback for all their events has been excellent. Try t contact the local office or find their contact details on their website to follow up.
I also have a concern re the Cape Town road show. Both myself and my husband have registered online for the Canon Wild Amateur Roadshow more than 3 weeks ago and have not yet received any confirmation.
I have already made an inquiry about our registration and up to today, despite of the fact that I have requested feedback, have not yet heard a word.
I must agree with the 2 gentlemen that this is poor client service from Canon.
Can we PLEASE get some kind of feedback/confirmation about our registration.
I can offer the following as a possible contact: Antoinette (info@onethread.co.za). She organized the Johannesburg event and I’ve had no issue with a booking or confirmation.
I subsequently managed to get my invite but not through Canon or their Road show site.I managed to come right through VTR computers who are Canon agents in Montagu Gardens.
Seems as though the Cape Town organizer may not be the same as the one up here in Johannesburg…
