ASUS G2S repaired

ASUS G2STechnical support from ASUS did not dissapoint: G2S is back after a day and a half in sickbay. The LCD cable has been replaced and so far, no pink striations on the screen have been observed.

Since the Vista installation on that machine is as buggy as anything, I’m trying out a load of Windows 7 – installing as I type, I’ve selected the 64-bit version because that makes sense given the hardware G2S contains.

I’ll report back on how well this works once everything has installed as I’m hoping it will…

At the same time, I trust that the LCD cable replacement has sorted the screen issues out. I’m in no mood to shuttle a sick notebook back and forth.

    Hey!

I have the same problem with my g2s, 2 parallel lines :( . However my warranty has expired a few month ago, would you happen to know how much a procedure like this would cost in a repair shop?
